Signalink is seeking a Senior Software Systems Safety Engineer to join our Software Mission Assurance Team.

Provides Senior-Level safety assurance by participating in multi-disciplinary teams conducting software safety and mission assurance evaluations, audits and assessments for proposed and existing Army systems software architectures and programs. Supports software requirements identification and development process by evaluating and assessing planning, design, development, production and operations for Army systems software architectures. Provides technical expertise to Software Safety Assurance in responding to software design and operational concerns. Utilizes understanding and application of software development processes, software design, computer system design, systems safety analysis, requirements analysis and software independent validation and verification to articulate customer requirements.
Performs Systems Safety Hazard Analysis to includes listing all potential failure mechanisms and the worst-case scenario effect on the system. Prepares and writes formal Systems Safety Hazard Analysis Reports to categorize and summarize all potential software and software-hardware interaction hazards. Performs Software Reliability analysis using commercially available software reliability tools.
Leads and manages safety-critical and mission-critical software systems analysis throughout the life cycle from initial requirements through design, implementation, testing, delivery, and support. Utilizes excellent written and oral communication skills to disseminate information successfully with personnel at all levels. Exercises the ability to recognize top-level functionality of a system through system descriptions and specifications, and to determine the design controls necessary to prevent hazardous conditions.
